Belgium as a tourism destination in europe


Belgium is a favorite tourist destination for all Europeans. It contains high cultural and historic sites present in particular in the following cities:

Brussels
Federal capital of Belgium, Brussels is known for its squares, monuments and magnificent museums. Its main square with City Hall, houses and streets that surround it make it one of the most beautiful places in the world. Brussels also has many domestic and foreign companies, major institutions of Belgian politics as well as many European institutions (European Commission, European Parliament, Council of Ministers). Brussels is indeed the political and administrative center of Europe.

Wallonia
On the Meuse, Namur delights with its charming valleys. The history and legend lovers find happiness in the citadel and in the castles, abbeys and churches in the area.
Mons contains wealth from the point of view of heritage (belfry, Town Hall, Saint Waudru), as museums and folklore (Ducasse, Mons genuine new year).
Situated at the confluence of the Meuse and the Ourthe, Liège has many historical monuments, including the famous palace of the Prince Bishops.


Flanders
Located along the Scheldt, Antwerp is the second largest city in Belgium. In addition to its port of global importance, Antwerp is also a major diamond center. In the cultural field, Antwerp is also the home of the painter Rubens.

Belgium is also characterized by a beautiful natural tourist area: the north, the Belgian coast has more than a dozen resorts and 67 km of sandy beaches, south of the Ardennes offer the discovery of huge forested landscapes through rivers, with the possibility of winter cross-country skiing or downhill skiing.
